COMMON QUESTIONS

A few useful
answers.

Does Dev Workbench work offline?

Conversions, parsing, inspection, and generation run locally. Explicit network actions such as Run Curl and Web Preview need access to their destinations. App Store product and purchase services may also need a connection.

Which features are included in Free and Pro?

All 16 workbenches are usable in Free: nine are fully Free and seven add Pro capabilities. Those additions cover larger inputs, more saved sessions, signature work, jq autocomplete and live results, finer text comparison, custom regex input, and embedded web preview. See the workbench catalog for the exact boundary in each tool.

Why does my input not return after restarting?

Some workbenches deliberately keep their content session-only, including JWT secrets and keys, curl requests, and image data. Preferences may still be remembered. Check the privacy page for the distinction between content and settings.

Why does a result differ from another tool?

Compare the input and active options first: encoding alphabet, padding, timezone, date units, regular expression engine, or supported format can change the result. Dev Workbench’s information buttons explain the relevant behavior and limits.

How do I restore a Pro purchase?

Use the app’s Restore Purchases action while signed into the Apple Account used for the original purchase. A network connection may be required. If the entitlement is still unavailable, include the app version and error message in your support report; never send payment-card details.

Will loading a demonstration send my app data to YouTube?

The website’s player is separate from the macOS app. Loading it connects your browser to YouTube but does not give this website access to the content in your workbenches.

Can I use Dev Workbench on Windows or Linux?

Dev Workbench is a native macOS application. This website can be read on other devices; it does not run the workbench tools in your browser.

REPORTING A PROBLEM

Help us see
what you see.

A small, reproducible example is the most useful starting point.

  1. The workbench name, app version, and macOS version.
  2. The steps you took and the options you selected.
  3. What you expected, and what happened instead.
  4. A minimal sample or screenshot with confidential details removed.
